Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom

Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is located in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The park features nine roller coasters, other adult and children's rides, and a large waterpark, Wildwater Kingdom. Dorney Park is one of the most popular amusement parks on the East Coast of the United States. It is an especially popular recreational destination for residents of Philadelphia and New York City, both of which are less than 90 miles (140 km) from the park. The park is accessible from Interstate 78, U.S. Route 222 (Hamilton Blvd.) and Cedar Crest Boulevard. The region is served by Lehigh Valley International Airport, approximately 10 miles (16 km) east of Dorney Park. Bieber Tourways has a nearby bus terminal at the former Charcoal Drive-In (at junction of U.S. Route 222 and Hamilton Boulevard), with daily service to and from New York City's Port Authority Bus Terminal and Philadelphia Greyhound Terminal.

Dutch Wonderland

Dutch Wonderland is a 48-acre amusement park just east of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, appealing primarily to families with small children. The park's theme is a "Kingdom for Kids." The entrance to the park has a real stone castle facade, which was built by Earl Clark, a potato farmer, before he opened the park in 1963. The Clark family sold Dutch Wonderland in 2001 to Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company, which also operates Hersheypark in nearby Hershey, Pennsylvania. They also operate Wonderland Mini-Golf, and Old Mill Stream Campground at the same location. The current General Manager of Dutch Wonderland is Rick Stammel, who is originally from West Hollywood, CA. Today, the park has 34 rides, plus a tropical-themed interactive water play area called Duke's Lagoon. The park also has an extended season, open for "Happy Hauntings" and "Dutch Winter Wonderland" events for Halloween and Christmas. The park is part of a larger area in Lancaster zoned for entertainment, dining, lodging, and conferences.

Hershey Park

Hersheypark is an amusement park located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, near the Hershey Chocolate Factory. Hersheypark was opened in 1907 as a leisure park for the employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company, an American confectionery company. Later, the company decided to open the park to the public. Today the park has over 110 acres and over sixty rides and attractions. Hersheypark admission also includes entry into ZOOAMERICA, an adjacent zoo. Also adjacent is Hershey's Chocolate World, a visitors' center that is open to the public and that contains shops, restaurants, and a chocolate-themed ride.

Knoebels Amusement Resort

Knoebels Amusement Resort is a family-owned and -operated amusement park, picnic grove and campground, located in Elysburg, Pennsylvania. Opened in 1926, the park has more than 50 rides, free admission, two wooden roller coasters, a 1913 carousel and a haunted house dark ride that was featured on the Discovery Channel. The park and its rides have won awards from organizations such as Amusement Today, American Coaster Enthusiasts and The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. The park has won the Amusement Today Golden Ticket award for best amusement park food for the past seven years.

CHRISTMAS AT JOANNA
Description: Admission: Adults $5.00, Children 12 & Under Free. A vintage Christmas celebration nestled in a captivating, nighttime historic setting. Victorian Decorations - Catch a glimpse of Christmas past by entering the Historic Mule Stable. The smell of fresh baked treats - anise jumbles, ginger snaps and the home baked bread will fill your senses as you pass through the kitchen where mother and daughters plan the sweetest of surprises. Visitors will also enjoy the many Victorian decorations in this historic building that is warmed by the enchantment of candlelight. To the delight of young and old alike, interpreters, gaily dressed for the season, will share stories behind Victorian Christmas decorations and traditions as they quill, embroider , and prepare craft items that will fill the giant cedar Christmas tree in the room. Christmas Market - Located directly behind The Mule Stable, the Christmas Market features a wide variety of juried crafts and food items. With over a dozen stands at which to shop you can purchase many last minute Christmas gifts. Our Christmas market has ornaments, pewter miniatures, gourd craft, greenwood products, traditional woodcarvings, handspun wool products, candles, jewelry, lockbox jewelry boxes, Christmas cookies, skin care products and goat milk soap, to name a few of the gifts. Plus you can buy delicious homemade food for your holiday social activities, such as; cookies and clear toy candy. Visitors can also purchase tickets for our popular Gift Basket Raffle in our Christmas Market. Baskets which include gift certificates, holiday and home improvement items, gym memberships, family fun activity passes, pet supplies, and ladies & gentleman specialty gifts are donated from area businesses. Valued from $40 to several hundred dollars these baskets can be shared with friends and family during your holiday celebrations. Wagon Rides - What a better way to get into the Christmas spirit than to take an old fashion wagon ride with your family through the historic Joanna Furnace iron plantation! Rides run continuously though the site that is illuminated with special lighting. Bonfire Entertainment - Nestle up by our roaring bonfire and listen to holiday songs sung by Joanna's Carolers. Visitors are encouraged to sing along and enjoy stories of Christmas legends told by our own Ghost of Christmas Present. Beware! Lest you feel the switch of the Belsnickel across your back-if you have not been a good child. However, all "good children" will be rewarded with a sweet treat. Luminary Pathways - Stroll the luminary pathways throughout the Joanna Furnace complex and feel the charm of 1,000 glowing candles. Live Nativity - Returning this year to Christmas at Joanna is the live nativity presented by The Living Rock Bible Church from Elverson, Pa. You will see the live re-enactment of the Nativity of our Lord. So come experience the Christmas Story and make a public witness to the true meaning of Christmas. Joanna Furnace Walking Tours - Learn what it was like to live on an 18th & 19th century iron plantation. Tours will run at 6:15 & 7:15 pm all three nights. Heart-Warming Foods - Delicious foods and drinks prepared by Hay Creek Valley Historical Association volunteers will be available to purchase throughout the week-end.
